Glutinous Rice Balls with Fermented Rice Wine Recipe

This recipe is great for the cold winter day to keep your body warm and improves blood circulation. It is one of most popular Chinese traditional dessert made using glutinous rice balls and fermented rice wine, which gives it a natural sweet and aromatic taste.  Why not give this a try?

Ingredient (approx Serves 4)


Step 1: Use a big bowl, put in the 100g glutinous flour and pour the 50ml boiling water.

Step 2: Mix it until it forms a dough.

Step 3: After when a dough is formed, knead it  for  another 1-2mins

Step 4: Roll into a cylinder and cut into small segment.

Step 5: Sprinkle some glutinous flour over it and roll the segment into tiny ball.

Step 6: Boil the water and add the glutinous rice balls and boil until it float on  the top

Step 7: Add in fermented rice wine and dried osmanthus (optional) and continuous to boil for another 2 mins.

Step 8: Mix arrowroot starch (or Tapioca Starch)  and a little water to form solution

Step 9: Add in the fermented rice wine. Stir to thicken.

Step 10: Serve it hot

Your dessert is complete.
