Dried Liquorice is a traditional Chinese medicinal herb derived from the dried roots of the liquorice plant. It has been used for centuries in traditional Chinese medicine for its potential health benefits. The dried root is known for its sweet flavour and is often used to balance the flavours of herbal formulations and traditional soups. Liquorice is believed to harmonise the effects of other herbs, detoxify the body, and support the spleen and stomach. It is commonly incorporated into herbal teas, decoctions, and soups to impart its sweet taste and contribute to the overall balance of herbal formulations.
