To offer you a bit of sit-fry inspiration, we’ve teamed up with @famdelites on Instagram. This particular recipe is inspired by a Malaysian dish that’s sure to keep you coming back for more.
What is Hokkien Mee?
Originating in the Chinese province of Fujian, Hokkien Mee is a stir-fry dish that’s popular across Southeast Asia, especially Malaysia and Singapore. The dish includes thick noodles and a tasty sweet sauce. It is usually accompanied by pork and greens, but this recipe uses prawns, chicken and a range of veggies.
Traditionally, hokkien noodles are used, but udon noodles make a great substitute, as they have the same chewy texture. The below recipe will also work with a range of different vegetables, so feel free to mix and match according to your tastes!
